Spring 2025 Group Classes

Group classes are not only cost-effective, they can also be more effective for student growth and learning than one-one-one lessons, especially for middle and high school students' writing and test prep. My belief in the power of collaborative student environments to promote learning means I had to find a way to make them a reality outside of brick and mortar learning institutions. Thus, over the past few years I conceptualized and developed my hybrid online/in person writing and test prep courses.
All it takes to make a group class is more than one student! Here's how it works: if you have 2 or more students of similar needs, they can opt to turn their private lesson into a group class for $35 for each student per hour. (That's like getting the 2nd student for $5!)
Creating a group class opens up the opportunity for other students with similar goals to join, multiplying the group learning potential for everyone!
Classes are also recorded so that if you miss a class, you can view it later.
Students can join online or attend in person in my home classroom in Spring Branch. Here are the classes currently on the schedule:
Starting January 15:
Learn to Like Writing (And Get Better At it Fast!)
- grades 5-7
- Wednesdays, 5:00 to 6:00 pm
- 16 weeks, January 15-May 7; no class March 12
- $560
Starting January 19:
For Better Reading and Writing
- grades 6-8
- Saturdays, 2:00-3:00 pm
- 16 weeks, January 18-May 10; no class April 5
- $560
